Bristol Palin refuses to feel bad that she is pregnant again. She also said the second pregnancy is planned and well-accepted by her, despite the many critics who believe she would have the baby possibly aborted.

In her Patheos blog, Sarah Palin’s daughter slammed back on her many critics, who said she is being a hypocrite for not practicing what she preached or not committing to her own promise of not engaging in premarital sex after she gave birth to her first child, Tripp.

The 24-year old, who has always been very vocal against liberal views on sex and family values, announced on Thursday that she is indeed, pregnant with her second child. This resulted into a lot of backlash because not only is she a strong advocate of abstinence, she even announced on Oprah’s show that she would never engage in premarital sex anymore after having her son Tripp. It can be remembered that when she announced her first pregnancy during her mom Sarah Palin’s 2008 vice presidential campaign, she and her whole family were ridiculed, especially via online.

On her blog, she set out to defend herself, admitting that she made a mistake but “not the mistake all these giddy a******* have loved to assume.” She asserted that the second baby was actually planned. She shared that she always wanted another kid. She explained that she might have gotten ahead of herself, getting pregnant even before she got married, but her life has to move on. She emphasized that she never thought of getting an abortion at all and is actually excited to be a “mom times 2.” She thinks baby Tripp would be the best brother for the new baby.

The second pregnancy announcement came after her wedding to Dakota Meyer was called off. It was her mother who took the liberty to announce the tidbit of the called-off wedding on her Facebook. Bristol followed this up by denying rumours of “secret wives.” She said that she and Dakota deserve some privacy over this trying period. Meyer is yet to react to this news of Bristol’s pregnancy.
