British singer Ed Sheeran has shared a photo of himself taking a selfie with “Bridget Jones’ Baby” lead star Renee Zellweger. It is his first photo from the set after landing a cameo role in the film.

On Monday, Sheeran uploaded the black-white photo on his Instagram account with the caption: “Spent the day being an actor in the new Bridget Jones movie. Loved it, you're gonna love it too. @workingtitlefilms #bridgetjones and #bridgetjonesbaby.”

The singer credited famous photographer Greg Williams for the photo, which immediately garnered more than 345 thousand likes.

“Bridget Jones’ Baby” is the third installation of the “Bridget Jones” films, which follows the continuing adventures of its lead character as she enters the age of 40. The long-awaited threequel of the franchise is likely to be based on Helen Fielding’s third novel, “Bridget Jones: Mad About the Boy.” It has been nearly 12 years since the last installation of the franchise.

It was already announced that Zellweger will reprise her role of Bridget Jones in the film. Actor Colin Firth will also return to star as Bridget Jones’ lover Mark Darcy, along with Patrick Dempsey.

The franchise’s director Sharon Maguire will also return to helm the new installation.

The Hollywood Reporter reported in September that Fielding has co-written the initial drafts of the script with David Nicholls. The film will be produced by Working Title Films and co-financed by Universal Pictures, Miramax and StudioCanal.

The first installment of the franchise, “Bridget Jones’ Diary,” was released in 2001, while its second film, “Bridget Jones: End of Reason,” was released in 2004.

Sheeran made his debut as an actor with Kurt Sutter’s “The Bastard Executioner,” He played Sir Cormac. He also appeared in another TV series “Undateable” as himself.

“Thinking Out Loud” singer’s role in "Bridget Jones 3", however, has not been disclosed.
