A brawl between the NFC East rivals can't stop the Philadelphia Eagles get their third win in a row in the young season of the National Football League (NFL). In Week 3 action, the Eagles, behind the exploits of quarterback Nick Foles and Jeremy Maclin, the Eagles nipped the visiting Redskins, 37-34 for yet another comeback victory-- their third in as many games this season.

Foles threw 325 yards on 27-of-41 completions and had three touchdowns while Maclin received for 154 yards with 1 TD. The Eagles trailed the Redskins, 20-14 late in the first half. Philadelphia was down by as many as 17 points in their first two games in the season.

The fourth and final quarter was marred by a brawl instigated by an unnecessary hit by a Redskins linebacker on Foles.

Washington was playing for the first full game without star QB Robert Griffin III but Kirk Cousins had another impressive outing with 427 passing yards on 30-of-48 completions with 3 TD and 1 INT. RG3 is out indefinitely for the season.

"It was a fight," Foles said via the teams's official website. "You all saw it. It was a fight, literally there were fights during the game, so it was a fight. It was a hard-fought game. Washington came out fighting and we fought right back, and I'm glad we ended up on top. Guys kept fighting until the end."

Philly improved to 3-0 for the season while Washington dropped to 1-2. The Eagles take on the San Francisco 49ers in Week 4 while it's a quick turnaround for Washington which hosts the New York Giants this Thursday.
