Brad Pitt is the richest man alive. The Hollywood A-list star said his six children with wife Angelina Jolie have made him feel a very wealthy man.

“I love being a father and all the responsibilities that entails. I feel like the richest man alive since I’ve become a father,” the 50-year-old “Fury” star said to Psychologies magazine.

Pitt first became a father to son Maddox when he started Jolie, who adopted Maddox in 2002. He then accompanied Jolie to Ethiopia in 2005 so she could adopt Zahara. In early 2006, he became the legal adoptive father of both after his adoptions were finalised.

He became a biological dad for the first time when Jolie gave birth to daughter Shiloh in 2006. He became a fourth time dad as well in 2007 when they adopted three-year-old Pax from Vietnam. Their twin son and daughter Knox and Vivienne were born in 2008.

“You learn to value the basic beauty of family, of watching your children grow and evolve. It’s the most beautiful thing you can experience,” Pitt continued.

“Being a father has changed me on so many levels and made me generous and alive. I see my children as an essential part of my life, and it means so much to be able to educate them and help them make their way in the world as they grow up.”

Pitt also admitted that he worries about his children all the time.

“That’s the emotional bond and responsibility that sweeps over you when you have a family to look after. I care about them more than I care about myself, which I think is the real definition of love. You see past yourself and become more generous and giving, and wanting only the best for your family.”

The newly married star also has praises for the 39-year-old mother of his children.

“Angelina is just amazing. I’ll be tired and lie down on the sofa and then she’ll keep going until late at night. And that makes me feel like, ‘Why am I taking it easy?’ so I’ll go help out and play with the boys and get them to bed. You realise that you always have the energy inside you, and as a parent you need to have a lot of willpower.”

Pitt and Jolie will be co-starring in the romantic drama “By the Sea,” their first film together in almost 10 years since “Mr & Mrs Smith.”

The film is written and directed by Jolie.
