Amir Khan and Terence Crawford are the prominent names being discussed as next in line for Manny Pacquiao, in a fight most likely held in April of 2016. After a convincing and one-sided win over Brandon Rios on Saturday night, Timothy Bradley has joined the list of prospective opponents for Pacquiao next year.

Bradley retained his World Boxing Organization (WBO) welterweight belt, sending Rios to the canvass in the ninth round of the fight held at the Thomas and Mack Center in Las Vegas, Nevada in the United States. Rios never got up after a barrage of body punches and lost via knockout and also lost the will to continue his boxing career as he announced he was retiring from the sport during the post-fight interviews.

Meanwhile, Bradley was lauded by his impressive performance with Top Rank Promotions chief Bob Arum stating that Pacquiao will also view the tape of the Bradley-Rios fight to help him decide which fighter to pick for his 2016 fight, which is rumoured to be the last for Pacquiao.

“Pacquiao will now review the tape of this fight, the tape of Terence [Crawford’s] fight and he’ll make a decision,” Arum said via Los Angeles Times.

Aside from Crawford and Bradley, also under consideration is United Kingdom’s Khan, who appears to be the frontrunner in the Pacquiao sweepstakes with rumours in previous weeks that contracts are already being discussed and even already signed between the two camps.

If Bradley manages to convince Pacquiao for a fight in 2016, it will be the pair’s third meeting in their careers; Bradley won over Pacquiao in 2012 in a controversial 12-round split decision and Pacquiao returned the favour in 2014, winning via a 12-round unanimous decision victory.
