Manny Pacquiao’s chief adviser Michael Koncz bared that the Filipino fighter’s camp is ready to resort to plan B, should the negotiations regarding the much-awaited clash against Floyd Mayweather fail to materialise.

While circulating reports have suggested that the superbout will likely happen, Koncz declared that terms are yet to be agreed upon despite some compromise made by Pacman’s side.

“The latest was the same as it was last week. I mean, weve agreed to all negotiated points and terms…Manny has signed off…we’re waiting for Floyd. You know, now it’s up to Floyd,” he told ESNEWS.

The Canadian who was once fired by Pacquiao in the past elaborated that Pacquiao is trying to make the anticipated event a reality as a tribute to boxing fans, above anything else.

“As Manny has said many times, we’re just tired of people asking when the fight is gonna be made. So that’s the difference this time around versus the last five years of negotiations,” he continued.

“We just wanted to get it over and give the fans what they want. So if Floyd truly wants to call himself the best fighter in the world - pound for pound, there’s only one way to prove that: fight Manny.”

“And if you care about your fans you’ll do it, and if you don’t care about your fans, only yourself, you won’t do it.”

“But we’re not gonna sit around and wait. We’re hopeful that it can still happen, but we’re already looking at other options.”

With all of the surrounding uncertainty, Pacquiao will not rely on Money’s signature alone, but has also explored other possible options.

“We’ve already started to go on another direction, but that doesn’t mean we (sic) close the door on Floyd…just means we’re not gonna sit here for weeks-in and weeks-out hoping and waiting,” he added.

“Floyd wants to accept the fight, we’ve done it on his terms, so let’s do it. If not, we’ll be prepared. We’re still gonna fight in April or May whether it’s Floyd or not.”
