Manny Pacquiao is known for throwing many punches in his past boxing matches compared to his opponents and Floyd Mayweather is prepared for the aggressive attack from the Filipino. Pacquiao and Mayweather will be fighting on May 2, 2015 in Las Vegas, Nevada and are in their training camps in preparation for the big bout which is highly-anticipated by boxing fans.

“I think my focus is always being in control and dictating the pace,” Mayweather said to Mlive.com. “You've got guys who throw a lot of punches -- you know, a majority of the time, I think that everyone game-plans to throw a lot of punches. It hasn't worked so far. But I've faced a lot of great fighters, a lot of guys going down in the Hall of Fame, and guys going down in history as top guys.”

Mayweather, who is undefeated in 47 bouts in his career, is referring to past opponents like Marcos Maidana, whom Mayweather beat twice, Canelo Alvarez plus others who are know for their aggressive attack like Pacquiao, who has a record of 57 wins, 5 losses and 2 draws with 38 knockout wins.

In the same interview, Mayweather gave credit to past opponents mentioning boxers Sharmba Mitchell, "DeMarcus 'Chop Chop' Corley and Zab Judah and describing them as “solid competitors” that pushed him to boxing stardom. “Without those guys pushing me -- without all 47 guys pushing me -- I wouldn't be where I'm at. So I'm thankful for how my career has went and I appreciate all those fighters,” Mayweather added.

Meanwhile, Floyd Mayweather Sr., Mayweather Jr.’s father and trainer has shared some more of their strategy against Pacquiao.

"Being that he's short anyway, it's good for uppercuts, because you might try to hit him in the body and hit him right on the chin," Mayweather Sr. said in the same article. This is the same thought by Mayweather Sr. in a previous interview where he said they are planning to attack Pacquiao to the body.

The Mayweather-Pacquiao bout will be for the World welterweight titles for various boxing organisations including the World Boxing Council, World Boxing Organization and World Boxing Association.
