Boxing champ Floyd Mayweather Jr. and Grammy Award-winner singer Ashanti were spotted getting cozy with each other's arms in an after-party at Playhouse Nightclub in Los Angeles, according to a source present in the event on Sunday.

Mayweather was basking in glory during and after the Bet Awards, showing off his third Buggati Veyron with his new girlfriend Doralie Medina and partying with several A-list personalities in the entertainment industry.

The 37-year old champion also announced his upcoming rematch with Argentine brawler Marcos Maidana on September 13 and even teased about a big surprise for his May 2015 fight (hopefully it's the showdown with Manny Pacquiao).

But Mayweather further magnetized everybody's attention when he was spotted getting cozy with R&B singer Ashanti, who was previously rumored to have had a relationship with the reigning WBC welterweight and super-welterweight champion.

The 33-year old Ashanti is certainly no stranger to Mayweather. Roughly two months ago, the R&B artist was dragged into a nasty wrangle between the boxer and his ex-boyfriend Nelly.

The controversy started when Nelly brought Mayweather's ex-girlfriend Shantel Jackson to a Miami Heat game and then denied any association with the boxer. The rapper also claimed that Mayweather had a relationship with Ashanti while he was dating the singer.

Mayweather responded by revealing about Miss Jackson's abortion of their twins and the dozens of plastic surgeries he spent for her to look beautiful. As expected, Nelly answered in his own way after he released a single entitle 'Thanks To My Ex' with a statement about the real score between him and the boxer.

"Floyd could be confusing his relationship with me and his relationship with my ex for whom he has exchanged numbers and has flown personally to attend his weekend in Michigan which I wasn't invited (I guess I wasn't in the circle of friends then) lol," Nelly stated.

Ashanti-Mayweather Romance

Being a champion boxer and the top money-earner in sports, Mayweather has been linked to several women throughout his career. Money May's popularity and high-end lifestyle put him on the spotlight as well as under the microscope of public scrutiny.

Mayweather, who was recently involved in a bar fight with T.I over his alleged relationship with the rapper's wife Tiny, hasn't confirmed his alleged intimate relationship with Ashanti.

Then again, the latest photos exclusively posted on Baller Alert might tell a different side of the story. It all depends on the reader's perception, whether Ashanti appears to be Floyd girl-friend or perhaps girlfriend.
