‘Bones’ Season 11, Episode 9 Spoilers: Brennan and Booth go undercover, ‘Reign’ actor returns for Camille Saroyan

“Bones” Season 11, Episode 9 (“The Cowboy in the Contest”) is set to air on Dec. 10 on FOX. There is no new episode this week, but fans can look forward to another undercover adventure for Temperance Brennan (Emily Deschanel) and Seeley Booth (David Boreanaz). Meanwhile, “Reign” actor Gil Darnell is set to return for Tamara Taylor’s Camille Saroyan.

In the previous week’s episode of “Bones” Season 11, Parker Booth returns as part of Brennan’s Thanksgiving surprise for her husband. The role was previously portrayed by Ty Panitz, but now it’s Gavin MacIntosh’s turn to play the ‘grown-up’ version of Booth’s son.

In “Bones” Season 11, Episode 9, Booth and Brennan pursue another undercover job. The FOX synopsis says the couple will be in an “Old West-theme shooting competition.” This could potentially remind “Castle” viewers of “Once Upon A Time in the West” from Season 7, which aired a year ago. Both “Castle” and “Bones” contain elements of crime, drama, suspense and comedy. Viewers will soon judge on which show handles the West better.

Meanwhile, the FOX synopsis for Bones 11x09 also says, “Cam gets to know Sebastian better.” For those who missed one or two episodes, Sebastian Kohl (Gil Darnell) is an award-winning and globetrotting photographer who is now acting as Angela’s (Michaela Conlin) mentor.

Cam has assumed he was romantically interested in Angela, but it turned out Angela was an excuse for Sebastian to come over to the Jeffersonian and see her. Cam has recently broken up with Arastoo Vaziri (Pej Vahdat), who has left the Jeffersonian after Brennan came back to lead the forensic investigation.

Some fans are still missing John Francis Daley as Lance Sweets, but Booth’s new FBI partner has quickly earned the support of many avid viewers, too. Special Agent James Aubrey (John Boyd) has proven himself a loyal colleague and friend in “Bones” Season 10. In this current season, the writers are exploring his ties with squintern Jessica Warren (Laura Spencer).

As for Angela and Hodgins (T.J. Thyne), the “Bones” Season 11, Episode 9 synopsis says the couple will “discuss their future and what it holds for their family.” Angela postponed Paris indefinitely for Hodgins, and recently he opened the door of professional photography for his wife. Are they still on solid, stable ground – perhaps thinking of having a second baby?
