“Bones” Season 10, episode 20, titled “The Woman in the Whirlpool,” airs this Thursday on Fox. This week’s new episode continues the story of Booth (David Boreanaz) and Brennan (Emily Deschanel), who are both expected to struggle while they are living separately. Meanwhile, significant changes are happening in the other characters, too.

Spoiler alert: This update contains more “Bones” Season 10 spoilers. Read on at your own risk.

Booth backslides into gambling in an earlier episode in “Bones” Season 10. Brennan, who is currently pregnant with their second child, decides to kick Booth out of their home in the most recent episode (10x19).

Brennan’s decision came after a man came into their home, raising threats against Christine if Booth fails to pay up. Aubrey (John Boyd) is unhappy about the recent developments in his mentor’s personal life. He told Booth it was not a good idea to go undercover as a gambler, but the senior agent did not listen to him.

Booth and Brennan start living together in the premiere episode of “Bones” Season 7. Brennan runs away with their baby at the end of this season because of Pelant (Andrew Leeds). This is the first time for Brennan and Booth to find themselves on the verge of real separation.

Meanwhile, Angela (Michaela Conlin) and Hodgins (T.J. Thyne) are enjoying a windfall, courtesy of Hodgins’ new invention. For her part, Camille (Tamara Taylor) and Arastoo (Pej Vahdat) are both back in America after a harrowing experience in Iran. They have been talking about getting married.

The dynamics among the characters in “Bones” Season 10 are changing significantly albeit the transition has been happening slowly. Angela and Hodgins are thinking of living in Paris, and they are thinking big about it. Living in Paris has been Angela’s dream since Season 1. Will “Bones” Season 11 lose Angela and Hodgins?

Fox officially ordered “Bones” Season 11 on May 8. Prior to this, Emily Deschanel has told the media that she believes the series has more stories to tell.
