'Bones' final season spoilers: Sully returns at a rough time for Brennan and Booth; more details on 12-episode farewell season

The year is about to come to a close and it is just a matter of days before the popular crime procedural drama TV series will start airing its final season. “Bones” will be concluding with its twelfth season with also twelve episodes. The situation will pick up right after the events that happened in season 11 where Brennan got kidnapped.

Spoilers reveal that “Bones” could be breaking hearts as it airs its final season. Previously, an announcement had been made saying that Tim “Sully” Sullivan (Eddie McClintock) will be reappearing during a rough period between Booth (David Boreanaz) and Brennan (Emily Deschanel). Sources say that his return might hit them right when they are vulnerable.

Executive producer Michael Peterson had revealed Sully will be back at a time when Brennan is emotionally unbalanced, writes TV Line. She and Booth will be going through a very difficult time so such would not be the best time for an ex to show up, and this will cause some repercussions. He adds that he will be curious as to what the fans would think.

Sully was previously seen in Season 2 episodes. During that time, he and Brennan began dating each other while Booth back then was sidelined to see a shrink. As he was aspiring to live his life to the fullest after losing his FBI partner, Sully got too serious too soon with Bones. She declined his offer to sail all the way to the Caribbean in a boat that he named after her.

Spoilers also reveal that Booth will be racing against time to save Brennan. In the first episode of the last season of “Bones” entitled “The Hope in the Horror,” Booth will be seen gathering the rest of the lab members in a search for Brennan. It will be a very desperate situation as they try to save her just in time. As it has been revealed, more problems will arise as they try to rescue her.

The season premiere of “Bones” will air on Tuesday January 3, 2017 on FOX. In Australia, it airs on Channel Seven.
