After a long wait, the Oscar Winning director Sam Mendes revealed the details of "Bond 24" movie speaking from 007 Stage at London's Pinewood Studios. As revealed, the film will include some new cast members alongside leading actor Daniel Craig. Read on for more details.

Sam Mendes, the director of twenty-third James Bond film "Skyfall," informed the gathering that he would be returning to helm the highly anticipated sequel titled "Spectre." Joining the cast alongside Daniel Craig is Christopher Waltz and taking on the iconic role of the Bond Girls are Lea Seydoux and Monica Bellucci.

As for the returning cast, Ralph Fiennes will make a comeback as M, alongside Naomi Harris as Eve Moneypenny, Rory Kinnear as Bill Tanner and Ben Whishaw as Q.

Variety notes that Waltz character was not specified by Sam Mendes during the event, however, a Twitter post suggests that he would be playing Oberhauser. Previously, rumours claimed that he will be playing the darkest Bond villain Blofeld.

Furthermore, the report reveals that "The Matrix's" Monica Bellucci will portray the character named Lucia Sciarra and "Inglorious Basterds'" Lea Seydoux will be seen as Madeleine Swann. There is also "Guardians of the Galaxy" actor taking on the role of Mr. Hinx alongside Sherlock's Andrew Scott, who will play Denbigh.

As for the plot of the movie, it is reported that "Bond 24" will feature James Bond's new adventure which begins with a "cryptic message" from his past that "sends him on a trail to uncover a sinister organisation, Spectre. Meanwhile, M will continue the battle with "political forces to keep the secret service alive." As for Bond, his new mission results in uncovering of the "layers of deceit to reveal the terrible truth behind Spectre."

As noted by Screen Rant, it is an acronym for Special Executive for Counter-Intelligence, Terrorism, Revenge and Extortion. The report explains that it is an "apolitical worldwide terrorist organisation" that is headed by supervillain Blofeld. However, it is not yet specified who will be playing the said role of the villain.

During the event, the audience also got a glimpse of the new Bond car. As announced, Daniel Craig will be driving Aston Martin DB10 in his fourth James Bond movie. According to the press release on Aston Martin, the model is "developed specifically for the film and built in-house by the brand's design and engineering teams."

The cast and the crew will begin filming on Monday, Dec. 10, 2014. It will be shot over the period of seven months at Pinewood Studios as well as various locations in London, Rome, Mexico City, Morocco and Austria. "Bond 24: Spectre" is slated for global release on Nov. 6, 2015.

In the side note, the internet is abuzz with the news about Monica Bellucci setting the record for being cast the "oldest Bond girl." Speaking at the official photocall for "Spectre," she said (via Daily Mail): "James Bond is our fantasy - the ideal man. The man is a protector, he is dangerous, mysterious and sexy, and a perfect English gentleman."

When asked "what makes a good Bond girl," she responded by saying "a good director." Monica Bellucci is known for work in "The Passion of Christ," "Brotherhood of the Wolf," "Malena" and more. As for Lea Seydoux, she kick started her acting career in French cinema and is known for her roles in "Midnight in Paris," "Blue is the Warmest Colour" and more.
