'The Bold Type' Season 1 episode 4 spoilers: Jane has a 'friends with benefits' relationship in 'If You Can't Do It With Feeling'

"The Bold Type" cast members including Katie Stevens as Jane Sloan, Aisha Dee as Kat Edison, Melora Hardin as Jacqueline Carlyle, Meghann Fahy as Sutton Brady, Nikohl Boosheri as Adena El-Amin and Matt Ward as Alex, will have an upcoming episode titled "If You Can't Do It With Feeling," which airs on July 25 at 9-10 pm on Freeform. It will show Jane having a "friends with benefits" situation. Read on to learn more about it.

According to Freeform's press release, "The Bold Type" season 1, episode 4 will feature Jane trying to prove that she can handle a "friends with benefits" relationship without getting their feelings in the way. As for Sutton, somebody at Scarlet will think that she has a different professional background. Plus, Adena and Kat will become closer as they spend more time together.

TV Guide also reports that in this episode, Jane will be excited because she's invited to a speak on a panel for rising political writers under 30. However, she will feel insecure among the other speakers who are more experienced than her and already have impressive credentials.

‘If You Can't Do It With Feeling’ guest stars

Andre Bedard as Male Cop #2 and Christine Lan as Assistant Martha, will be guest stars in this episode, according to the Internet Movie Database (IMDb). Stephen Conrad Moore as Oliver Grayson and Kenny Wong as Sean Carpenter will join them.

'The Bold Type' episodes

The episode before "If You Can't Do It With Feeling" is "The Woman Behind the Clothes," which airs on Tuesday, July 18. It will show Kat being a victim of Internet trolls because she will stand up for gender inequality. Meanwhile, Sutton will think about finding her dream job. However, she starts to doubt if she's actually qualified for it. Elsewhere, Jane will work on a story about a congresswoman. She will use a different angle to make sure that she's heard. It was written by Justin W. Lo and directed by Tara Nicole Weyr.

"The Bold Type" TV series airs on Freeform in the US on Tuesdays at 9 pm. The episodes after "If You Can't Do It With Feeling" are "No Feminism in the Champagne Room" (air date: Aug. 1), "The Breast Issue" (air date: Aug. 8), "Three Girls in a Tub" (air date: Aug. 15), "The End of the Beginning" (air date: Aug. 22) and "Before Tequila Sunrise" (air date: Aug. 29).
