‘The Bold And The Beautiful’ spoilers for Dec. 23: The Forresters give Eric a touching Christmas gift; families declare a holiday truce
Rivalry, anger and differences are set aside in time for Christmas on the upcoming episode of “The Bold and Beautiful” (“B&B”). On Friday, it looks like the Forresters are boycotting Eric (John McCook) once again, leaving him utterly devastated. Fans would remember that his loved ones shunned his wedding with Quinn (Rena Sofer), which ultimately led to his heart attack.
Spoilers suggest, however, that Eric’s family would change their mind at the last minute and decide to give their patriarch a wonderful Christmas surprise. Followers of the long-running soap are in for quite an emotional day, filled with love and merriment. Other “The Bold and the Beautiful” characters who will figure prominently on the Dec. 23 installment include Quinn (Rena Sofer), Katie (Heather Tom), Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang), Ridge (Thorsten Kaye), Rick (Jacob Young), Maya (Karla Mosley), Steffy (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood), Liam (Scott Clifton) and Wyatt (Darin Brooks).

TV Guide reports that on Friday’s episode of “B&B,” Eric’s only wish for the occasion is to sing at least one Christmas carol with the Forresters. Meanwhile, Steffy and Liam savour their first Christmas together after rekindling their romance.
The show’s official YouTube channel posted a preview video for the Dec. 23 episode. [Watch below.] It features multiple scenes with Rick, Ridge, Eric, Steffy and Liam.
On the first scene, Rick shares his worries with Ridge. “We don’t want dad to think we’re boycotting,” Rick says. Ridge counters that this is not the same as Eric’s wedding. “Don’t say that, this is totally different,” Ridge insists. “We’ve got our own thing.”
Eric, on the other hand, talks to someone on the phone as Quinn and Wyatt look on. Eric asks, “What do you say you all come over here for a quick Christmas carol? We’ll keep it short and traditional.”
Elsewhere, Steffy tells Liam, “You had been a very good boy this year, and I’m sure that Santa’s going to make all your dreams come true.”

On Thursday, Bill (Don Diamont) was heartbroken to discover that Brooke is now engaged to Ridge. Brooke said that she didn’t want to hurt him, but insisted that RJ’s (Anthony Turpel) happiness is her priority. “I can’t just follow my heart all the time,” she said. Bill questioned her decision to not follow her heart and warned her that Ridge will inevitably hurt her. Bill also vowed to fight for them. “We will have our life together,” he promised.
At the Forrester mansion, Eric called Steffy, who told him that she and Liam would be spending the holiday at home. Ridge, who’s also there, took the phone and shared with Eric his engagement with Brooke. Ridge also broke the news that they’d spend Christmas as a family. When Eric put down the phone, he told Quinn that apart from Rick and his family, Steffy, Liam, and Ridge and his family won’t be coming there for Christmas. Seeing that he’s gutted with this news, Quinn reassured him.
