‘The Bold And The Beautiful’ spoilers for Dec. 12: Quinn cracks, may have accidentally killed Katie out of jealousy

A shocking turn of events greets fans of “The Bold and Beautiful” (“B&B”) this week. On Monday, Quinn (Rena Sofer) appears to have spiralled out of control, prompting her to go back to her evil ways. Followers of the long-running soap would remember that in the last episode, Quinn attacked Katie (Heather Tom) and the incident led to a bloody ending.

The crime, however, may just all be in Quinn’s head – she may only be thinking of hurting Katie, who’s growing closer with Eric (John McCook). It may not be too long, though, before Quinn becomes too jealous of Katie and turns back into a dark, sinister villain. Other “The Bold and the Beautiful” characters who will figure prominently on the Dec. 12 installment include Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang) and Rick (Jacob Young).

TV Guide reports that on Monday’s episode of “B&B,” Brooke faces up to Eric and questions him for being rude to Rick. Meanwhile, Quinn tries to control her jealous side. The show’s official YouTube channel posted a preview video for the Dec. 12 episode [watch below]. It features multiple scenes with Rick, Eric, Brooke, Quinn and Katie.

Rick opens the trailer as he declares that Ridge would oppose anyone who’ll be in charge of Forester Creations. “He thinks he’s the only one who deserves to sit in that seat,” Rick says, pointing to the CEO chair. Later, Rick tells Brooke that Quinn is helping Wyatt get Steffy back.

Brooke also gets a chance to talk to Eric. “Ridge and I are not good right now, but what’s good in his life right now is you,” Eric claims.

The clip wraps with a gruesome scene: Katie is lying on the floor unconscious, with a pool of blood coming from her head and a candlestick lying near her body. Quinn, on the other hand, looks on, a worried look on her face.

Last week, Katie visited Eric at the Forrester Mansion, where he told her about offering Steffy the CEO position. He also revealed that the plan was Quinn’s idea, eliciting a sigh from Katie. However, Katie reckoned Steffy will be successful in the job. Katie then teased Eric that Quinn may not like the fact that she’s there at the mansion, but Eric insisted that Katie is welcome there anytime.

Unknown to them, Quinn was watching them from afar. Katie kissed Eric on the cheek to show her appreciation for his friendship. When he went upstairs, Quinn appeared and lashed out at Katie. Quinn screamed, “I saw you kissing my husband!” and accused Katie of going after Eric. Katie replied that Eric deserves better than Quinn, who is crazy. Quinn then struck Katie on the head with a candlestick, knocking the latter out.

Elsewhere, Ridge and Liam continued trying to convince Steffy to decline Quinn’s offer. Liam predicted that someone is going to see Quinn’s bad side soon, and he’s trying to prevent it from being Steffy. Later, when Liam and Steffy cuddle together, Liam reiterated that Quinn is going to crack soon, and he doesn’t want Steffy anywhere near her when she does.
