After losing against Arizona Diamondbacks 4-0 on Saturday, Bruce Bochy wants the reigning 2014 World Series champs San Francisco Giants to put their big boy pants on.

“You put your big boy pants on. You come out and get ready to go tomorrow,” he said of his team playing what may have been the sloppiest performance of the year.

The Giants set a home record eigth-game losing streak, losing four games in a row. CSN Bay Area reports Bochy, who is on his 9th season as Giants’ manager, is still hopeful his players forget what happened this weekend, because even for a team that can go through really rough stretches.

“This is one of our ugliest games, there’s no getting around it, between the errors and the double plays,” Bochy added.

The Giants were very uncharacteristic in their errors and it cost them two of the four runs. Shortstop Brandon Crawford made two of four runs and Outfielder Justin Maxwell dropped an easy fly ball to center. The Giants notched two runs while getting swept and now lost eight straight at home, their longest losing streak since 1993.

The trio of Chase Anderson, Allan Webster, who was making his season debut with D-backs, and Rubby De La Rosa neutralized Giants’ offence, which in the second straight night was so quiet. Crawford expressed they need to play better baseball and play like they did on the road, citing that they have not gotten any hits with guys in scoring position.

Brochy was not willing to blame the lack of production because of injuries or rest days. Right fielder Hunter Pence has wrist tendinitis injury and outfielder Gregor Blanco still dealing with dizziness from a concussion he suffered on June 7 in Philadelphia, while key players Angel Pagan, Buster Posey, and Matt Duffy were given day-offs. SF Giants' GM added that they are in a situation where they had some guys who needed a day off, and there's no getting around it because they needed a break.

The Giants (34-30) will face Seattle Mariners (28-35) at AT&T Park on Tuesday, 3:45 PM ET.
