"Blue Bloods" starring Donnie Wahlberg (Daniel "Danny" Reagan) and Tom Selleck (Francis "Frank" Reagan) aired "Excessive Force" (Season 5, episode 4) on Friday, Oct. 17, 2014. This episode focuses mostly on Danny and how he was charged for using excessive force on another person, while on duty. "Blue Bloods" Season 5, episode 4 "Excessive Force" was written by Brian Burns and directed by Alex Chapple. Here's what happened in "Excessive Force." Danny chased down a robber of a convenience store. However, when the robber was cornered by Danny with a gun, he jumped out the window, broke his leg and accused Danny of police brutality because he claimed to have been pushed.

Frank was put in a difficult position wherein he had to choose on siding with Danny or the complainant who is accusing Danny of using excessive force on him. Frank had to weigh in on his relationship with his son versus his reputation and his job. As for the partners Eddie and Jamie, Eddie got jealous of Jamie's new friend - a beautiful doctor that he met in the hospital when he brought in a homeless man.

"But he is one in a long line that thinks that the police is an occupying force and fancies himself as leader of the resistance, so when opportunity knocks as it did here, Potter heads to the door," Frank said in the "Fatherly Advice" video posted by CBS on YouTube.

"Reverend, we are walking out of here together, just you and I. The only choice you have is do we walk with you in handcuffs," Frank said in the "Respect" video posted on the show's official YouTube channel.
