It is break time for "The Blacklist" Season 2. The episode 9 of the current season is scheduled to air on Sunday, Feb. 01, 2015. A new promo has been released that says, "On February 1 after the Super-Bowl, "The Blacklist" returns." "The Blacklist" is vacating its Monday spot, though. After the Sunday night episode, it will be moving to Thursdays.

The new episodes of "The Blacklist" Season 2 are set to see the emergence of a new villain or the emergence of new villains. This year's mid-season finale -- episode 8 -- of the show saw the death of two main antagonists, Alan Fitch and Berlin.

It was revealed in the two-part season 1 finale that Berlin is the unknown enemy of Red who has been targeting his assets and business interests. In Season 2, Berlin revealed that he is seeking revenge, as he believed that it is Red who killed his daughter and sent him her body parts. It was revealed in episode 7 that Berlin's daughter is not dead.

The mid-season finale episode, which is titled "The Decembrist," featured multiple unexpected twists, including the revelation that it is Fitch who is behind the story that Red killed Berlin's daughter and he also pinned the blame of a bombing in Kursk, Russia on Red. The bombing resulted in the death of 15 Berlin's associates. Fitch turned out to be the Decembrist. Berlin tracked down Fitch and put a high-tech bomb collar around his neck. Before the bomb killed him, Fitch told Red that his death will trigger a series of events. He also told Red the combination of a safe in St. Petersburg -- 83044. But, Fitch could not tell Red the exact address of the safe. Later, Red shot Berlin and ended his chapter, too.

Also, in the episode, Tom helped Liz track down Berlin. The last few moments of the episode saw him meeting Red. Red gave Tom an envelope full of cash and told him to never meet Liz again.

"For what it's worth, I was tied up for four months on that ship, and I never told her about us. Not one word," Tom said to Red, indicating that he may have had some kind of deal with Red. He also indicated in the episode that he may have fallen in love with Liz.

When "The Blacklist" Season 2 returns, it will be like a new beginning for the show.
