Long John Silver will have to make a difficult choice in “Black Sails” season 4 episode 5. The preview video shows the pirates arguing about the next course of action. Meanwhile, Eleanor plans to take a drastic step in order to keep her end of the deal.

The following article contains spoilers from the next episode of “Black Sails,” based on the preview video. Fans who do not wish to know what happens next are advised to stop reading.

Billy (Tom Hopper) will not stand by and let Long John Silver (Luke Arnold) go through with the deal. He has concerns and promises not to just watch their future destroyed. Flint (Toby Stephens) offered himself as collateral in the previous episode to Eleanor (Hannah New) in return for control of Nassau. The only condition is that the pirates hand over the Spanish gold.

Long John Silver appears to be under tremendous pressure to break the deal. But, if he does that, Flint will be executed. Billy may welcome such an outcome, but the one-legged pirate takes his word seriously and is not ready to go back on his promise.

“Black Sails” season 4 episode 5 will be about control of Nassau. While the pirates debate on whether or not to hand over the Spanish gold over to Eleanor, she has to find a way to keep Woodes Rogers (Luke Roberts) from stepping foot on the island, till the deal is done.

The preview video shows Eleanor asking Flint about firing an effective warning shot. It isn’t clear if the shot is aimed at Rogers’ ships, to prevent them from coming in range of the pirates on the island, or if she is firing at the pirates below, who may have decided to take action against her.

There will be more action in the next episode, but it appears to be mostly on Nassau. All the scenes involving Rogers show him on the ship. The British Governor was able to win a huge victory by killing Blackbeard (Ray Stevenson), but he is still neck deep in debt, and the war is far from over. In a battle of attrition, it is the pirates who can eventually win.

Has Flint made a mistake by agreeing to a deal with Eleanor? Long John Silver was also reluctant to take the deal at first, so his decision in “Black Sails” season 4 episode 5 will be an interesting one.
