“Black Sails” Season 3 started off with the introduction of the high profile character Blackbeard. A teaser video of episode 2 shows the character meeting with Charles Vane after a long time.

[Spoiler alert]

Blackbeard (Ray Stevenson) had decided in the premiere episode to go back to his life as a pirate and had set sail to Nassau. He had just arrived at the island towards the end of the episode and was looking for Vane (Zach McGowan).

A preview video of the next episode shows Blackbeard meeting Vane for the first time, but the reunion is less than cordial. Vane is sceptical of the pirate and can be seen clutching his dagger.

Meanwhile, Flint (Toby Stephens) and his crew maneuver the dangerous waters at high seas in order to escape from a ship that they can’t out run or fight against. The crew appear to run into a storm and ship sustains heavy damage. Many of the crew members also appear to be in mortal danger.

Flint has declared war on England in “Black Sails” Season 3 and has been looting and plundering as much as possible, to instil fear in the hearts of his enemy. Even in the teaser video he can be seen telling one of his crew members that they should not show any signs of weakness, as this would embolden the enemy.

While the pirates come together to protect Nassau, Eleanor Guthrie (Hannah New) has a deal with the next Governor of the Bahamas Woodes Rogers (Luke Roberts) to help him subdue the pirates of Nassau.

Nassau however remains vulnerable because the fortifications are incomplete. Rackham (Toby Schmitz) can be seen gambling and having fun in the preview video of “Black Sails” Season 3 episode 2. His previous plan to enlist slaves to work on the fort failed and he is yet to come up with an alternative plan to ensure the safety of the plundered gold.
