Biostar has released the various specifications of the X370GTN. This is Biostar's Ryzen Mini-ITX AM4 motherboard.

The company will be the first to introduce the motherboard under the Micro-ATX AMD X370 line. The X370GTN will feature AMD's X370 chipset. This is different from rumours that the next chips under the Mini-ITX AM4 line will come with either X300 or A300 chipsets.

The motherboard has one PCIe 3.0 x16 slot, four SATA 6Gbps connectors, and a single M.2 slot. This indicates a a lot of room for storage. However, not much was revealed about how it compares with previous Ryzen products.

Meanwhile, the motherboard supports a standard Realtek gigabit ethernet LAN controller. Unfortunately, it does not have a wi-fi connector available.

Audio-wise, it appears to feature the Realtek ALC892 8-channel high definition codec. These specs of the motherboard come with a packed internal and real I/O set of components.

The motherboard's internal I/O includes a single header for the following: USB 3.1 Gen1, USB 2.0, Front Audio, Front Panel, CPU Fan and System Fan. It also has two headers for 5050 LED.

Meanwhile, the rear I/O has multiple ports for the following: PS/2, USB 3.1 Gen2 Type-C, USB 3.1 Gen2, USB 3.1 Gen1, RJ-45 and the S/PDIF Out. It has five audio connectors, a single HDMI connector and a DVI-D connector.

The HDMI connector allows output with resolutions for up to 4096 x 2160 at a speed of 24Hz, or 3840x2160 for 30Hz. Meanwhile, the DVI-D connector allows output with resolution up to 1920 x 1200 at 60Hz.

It appears the motherboard itself has a good slate of features given that it is a miniature workstation. While the Mini-ITX AM4 motherboard has yet to come with a price tag, pairing this with a Ryzen CPU may lessen the costs to make a powerful machine.

This is considering that the Ryzen 7 1800X is the most expensive model at US$499 (AU$654), Meanwhile the Ryzen 5 1400 is the cheapest of the latest Ryzen models at US$169 (AU$221).

According to WCCFTech, the Mini-ITX may be best suited with the Ryzen 7 1700. This is due to its eight cores, 16 threads and 65W power supply. Interested tech enthusiasts can check the official data sheet for the motherboard in the Biostar website.

Unfortunately, there is still no news about the official release date of the X370GTN. Ryzen has not revealed an official price for this particular Mini-ITX AM4 motherboard as well.
