As one of the youngest contestants of “Dancing With the Stars” Season 21, Bindi Irwin managed to win the mirror-ball trophy on Nov. 24, Tuesday. The teenage daughter of the late “The Crocodile Hunter” star Steve Irwin was so happy with her dance partner Derek Hough that she invited him to Australia.

In an interview with People after her “DWTS” Season 21 win, Bindi revealed that she has convinced Hough to visit her at Australia Zoo, where she and her family live and work. She said, “I feel like I am ready to kind of switch roles, so I'm going to teach Derek how to be with crocodiles and cuddle tigers and kiss koalas.”

Bindi had to leave Australia for months when she joined the ABC reality dance competition. Now, it is Hough’s turn and he is set to spend time at Australia Zoo.

For Bindi, “DWTS” Season 21 is such a “special experience” that has felt like the most beautiful dance. The young conservationist said Hough inspired her every single day.

According to Bindi, Hough fully believed in her and it was because of him that she won the mirror-ball trophy. She said her dance partner changed her life and she is very happy.

While Bindi is celebrating her “DWTS” Season 21 win with Hough, not everyone is happy about the attention is getting. Channel Nine’s panel show “ The Verdict” host Amanda Vanstone pointed out on Nov. 25, Wednesday, that Bindi is “not the only kid whose father has died.”

Vanstone said her father died when she was young, which happens to many children. She said being a kid whose father has died does not make Bindi special.

In 2006, Bindi’s father was filming a documentary in Port Douglas when he was killed by a stingray barb to his heart. The “DWTS” Season 21 winner was only eight years old at the time.

“DWTS” Season 22 will premiere on March 21, 2016. Len Goodman will be the head judge in the next season of the ABC reality dance competition.
