As most people enjoyed the Easter holiday with egg hunts, family dinners and parties, Australian celebrities took time of their busy schedules to greet their fans last weekend.

Actress and conservationist Bindi Irwin shared a photo of herself cuddling a koala bear on her Instagram account. The 17-year-old daughter of the late Steve Irwin captioned her picture, “Easter cuddles are my favorite.” Her fans reacted positively on her post, with most of them commenting with heart emoticons. Instagram user pokeypam even wrote, “Bindi, you are a beautiful soul inside and out. The world is a better place with you in it. You rock girl! Love ya ❤ ”

Supermodel and former Victoria's Secret Angel Miranda Kerr uploaded a short video on Instagram, showing Easter-themed decorations, including quirky-looking Easter eggs and a banner that says “Happy Easter.”

Dami Im, “X Factor Australia” winner and Australia’s official representative for the upcoming 2016 Eurovision Song Contest, took a break from rehearsing to commemorate Easter. She posted a photo of herself and her husband, Noah. She wrote, “Thank you God for letting me experience your love through my man who loves me unconditionally! Thank you for what you have done for us on Easter ❤

Comedy actress Rebel Wilson uploaded a photo of herself with her “Pitch Perfect” co-stars sporting bunny ears. She captioned it, “HAPPY EASTER!!! Ps love this image, thanks @annakindrick47 X .” Wilson reposted the image from a fan of Anna Kendrick, who replied, “I cried and I was shaking. You have no idea how happy I am that she reposted this.”

Other Australian celebrities who shared Easter messages on Instagram include supermodel and actress Elle Macpherson and “Search for a Supermodel Australia” winner Nicole Trunfio.

Easter Sunday is generally a Christian tradition, but it has become another cause for celebration even among non-Christians all over the world. Popular traditions during this day include Easter egg hunts and Easter egg roll, distributing Easter candies, as well as serving Easter ham.
