“Big Brother Australia” elimination night has seen another upsetting result. Tim’s self-sacrifice was apparently all for naught as the evictee did not turn out to be whom he was expecting. Also, did Tully’s girlfriend broke up with her on Twitter?
Who was voted out of the house?

Caleb, the fire fighter and Matthew’s BFF in the house, was unfortunately the bearer of the lowest voting points, making him the fifth housemate eliminated from the Big Brother house.

Like Xavier before him, Caleb was a first time nominee. And unfortunately, that one time was enough. And just like the second elimination night, it was a big upset for a lot of Big Brother viewers as they were hoping to get Tully evicted. There are even fans of the show who are crying “rigged” on Facebook when it’s Tully’s name that has been the majority’s choice to be eliminated.

There were even those who compared Tully to Big Brother season 9 contestant Estelle, who wasn’t also a fan favourite yet she placed third at the finale.

But the voting poll being rigged is hard to prove, and the result can perhaps simply be explained by how it was designed. Instead of people voting for the one they want out of the house, they are voting for the one they want to stay. So while Caleb didn’t have as many critics as Tully did, it was still up to his supporters to vote for him.

And as it turned out, his supporters weren’t as steadfast in voting for him as Tully’s were. Hence, he had the lowest score.

To say that the result was disappointing is an understatement. Caleb was a gentle giant who was not afraid to show his soft side. He became a good friend to another house hunk, Matthew, and even unwittingly provided comic relief when they had touched lips multiple times during a challenge.

He also provided lip service to half of the Sugar Sisters. Caleb was the one who met Katie and Lucy first, and he was also the one who captured the younger sister Lucy’s heart in the house.

And while the others housemates were fuming from Tim’s birthday prank and talking behind his back, he was the one who confronted him about his duplicity.

In one unforgettable moment, Caleb proved that he couldn’t turn off the discipline he learned from being a fireman when he was jolted awake from his snoozing position on the sofa after Big Brother sounded a fire alarm. And yes, his workout face is pretty unforgettable as well.

As the evictee, it was Caleb’s to give the nomination superpower to his chosen housemate. Of course, he chose Matthew.

Here’s the voting tally:
Caleb – 7.2%
Ed – 7.3%
Tahan – 12.4%
Tully – 13.2%
Jade – 19.7%
Tim – 40.2%

Meanwhile, Tim was still the talk of the entire house after his cunning move last week. When he won the Showdown, he was also given the power to swap a safe housemate and a nominated housemate. He chose to save Mikkayla and sacrifice himself.

His action wasn’t seen as heroic, though. Ed, Matthew, Caleb, and Heidi claimed they all saw it coming because they knew he was playing a game. Heidi even appeared to have been leading the others in seeing Tim as the bad guy.

But no one was angrier at Tim’s action than Tully, who seemed to have a vendetta against Mikkayla even from the start. She declared a mutiny against him, telling Big Brother in the Diary Room that she would make sure Tim suffers if she survived the elimination night, which she did.

So how will Tully exactly do what she promised? It’s yet to be seen, but aside from crying and sulking every time she doesn’t get her way, her method of attack appears to include influencing Drew and making him work as her double agent.

Tully’s girlfriend, Tahlia, wasn’t in the studio to greet her back in case it was her time to go. As she wrote on her Twitter account (@beginnersblood), she was “So keen not to go to the Goldcoast,” which is where the Big Brother house is located.

Did her decision not to go to the studio have something to do with Tully’s flirtatious relationship with Drew? The two housemates have even already exchanged I Love You’s and kissed (?) under the bed cover, which would understandably upset anyone who’s in a relationship with them outside the house.

And if Tahlia’s latest Tweet is any indication, Tully might just be single right now.

Thanks for the concern guys, but I am big girl, I will be just fine. Life goes on.. x #singlebabescomeatme

Drew’s relationship with Tully isn’t doing him any favour outside the house. Opinions on him on social networks have shifted from positive to not so much.

Jade, who was nominated for eviction, wasn’t having a great week as well. She overheard Ed saying he preferred Jade’s body but Tahan’s face, and she also heard from fake ex-husband Drew that if he had won the Showdown, he would have chosen to save Tully instead of Jade. A dejected lover and a forgotten ex, Jade wished that she had not heard the men’s hurtful words.

Back to Tim, he has made a new enemy out of Tahan. The issue was old and exactly the same, but this time, things got a little more heated. Big Brother, for the third time, asked Tim to choose between eating his favourite ice cream and giving Tahan her beloved hair dryer back. And for the third time, Tim chose ice cream, which prompted the government worker to fight back.

She retaliated by throwing Tim’s clothes in the pool and hurling his $400 designer jacket off to the other side of the wall, which basically meant that Tim wouldn’t be able to get it back. Tim then cut the cord of Tahan’s hair curler, which he later regretted doing, as he admitted to Big Brother.
