Kaley Cuoco shuts down dating speculations after she and “Big Bang Theory” co-star Johnny Galecki were seen very affectionate with each other during the 2016 People’s Choice Awards.

The Microsoft Theatre in Los Angeles was filled with Hollywood stars on Wednesday, Jan. 6, as they attended the 2016 People’s Choice Award. However, the sweet antics of two celebrities namely Cuoco and Galecki caught the attention of many fans and rekindled dating rumours, Entertainment Tonight reported.

Cuoco and former boyfriend Galecki were seen holding hands during the awards show, as they sat next to “Big Bang Theory” co-stars Kunal Nayyar and Simon Helberg. Cuoco and Galecki secretly dated for two years before they split in 2010. The former Hollywood couple also hugged each other backstage as they posed for photographers, during Wednesday night's event.

Fans hoping that a romantic relationship is brewing between the two celebrities would be disappointed, since Cuoco indicated that they were “not dating” in an Instagram post. The actress took to the social media site after the 2016 People’s Choice Awards to share a picture of herself and Galecki hugging during the event. She captioned the image, “Thank you for the @peopleschoice award!! Look how happy we are!!” She also added the hashtags “#mydate” and “#notdating” to her Instagram post.

This is not the first time that Cuoco slammed dating rumours between herself and her “Big Bang Theory” co-star. Shortly after she announced her separation from former husband Ryan Sweeting in September 2015, the actress clarified in an Instagram post in October that she and Galecki are just good friends.

"So sorry to disappoint, but no home wreckers or secret flings going on here,” Cuoco wrote. “Me and @sanctionedjohnnygalecki are just the best of buds -- Leonard and Penny will just have to suffice!"

Meanwhile, the “Big Bang Theory” won several awards in the recently held 2016 People Choice's Awards which includes Favourite Network TV Comedy and Favourite TV Show. The show's Jim Parsons also nabbed the Favourite Comedic TV award.
