As fans excitedly gear up for the tenth season of “The Big Bang Theory,” producers of the hit comedy series is making sure it’s upping the ante for the upcoming installment.

CBS has recently announced that it is beefing up “The Big Bang Theory” cast with the addition of actor Dean Norris. The 53-year-old SAG Award winner is best known for his role as DEA agent Hank Schrader in “Breaking Bad,” as well as town councilman Kames “Big Jim” Rennie in “Under the Dome.”

The network confirmed that Norris is scheduled to appear in a multiple episodes as Captain Williams, set to create havoc in the show. His role is described by CBS as “a tough Air Force representative from the Department of Material Command, who’s interested in Howard (Simon Helberg) and Leonard’s (Johnny Galecki) quantum gyroscope for military applications.”

Followers of the show would remember Howard's suspicions that the Air Force was spying on their project. “Based on what we’ve learned and what we’ve been researching, it could be fine, but I think there is a small percentage chance that they should actually be concerned,” executive producer Steve Molaro told Entertainment Weekly. “That storyline is certainly not finished. They have no choice but to see what the Air Force wants and then go from there.”

Fans are interested to see what Norris can bring to the comedy series. While he’s known for serious and action films such as “Lethal Weapon 2,” “Hard To Kill ,” “Total Recall,” “Terminator 2: Judgment Day ” and “The Cell (2000),” he also appeared in “Little Miss Sunshine ” and “Evan Almighty.” One of his recent stints in the small screen was History Channel’s “Sons of Liberty,” a mini-series about the early American Revolution.
