Looks like it’s going to be Zac Stenmark’s or Steve Hooker’s last dance this weekend in the 2013 “Dancing With The Stars Australia”.

The remaining six couples return for a second and final special Sunday show on November 10 and if the betting odds are to be believed, the 21-year-old model with partner Jade Hatcher or 31-year-old gold medalist pole vaulter with dancing mate Ash-Leigh Hunter will be booted out from the competition.

Stenmark is priced at 2.5 and Hooker is at 1.75 at online sportsbook sportsbet.com.au, both numbers are the betting lines for the next contestant to be ousted in DWTS Australia.

For those new to sports entertainment betting, the simple formula is:

X (Amount of Bet) times Betting Odds (i.e. 1.6, 4.5, 51.0, etc)

This means that those who bet $100 on Stenmark to be eliminated will get a payout of $250 and the same amount of bet produces a payout of $175 for those who predict that it will be Hooker’s final act.

Among all the remaining six contenders those two have the lowest payout value this week. To compare, the top performers in Week 7—Rhiannon and Tina are priced at 34.0 and 26.0 respectively.

This means that bettors who want to bank on a surprising elimination this week—betting on Rhiannon or Tina to get the boot—will receive a huge payout of $3,400 or $2,600 if indeed one of the favourites gets ousted!

The low odds are ultimately a bad sign for either Steve or Zac. Not only had the judges decided that they were among the worst dancers with the lowest scores in the last episode, but the bookies are also predicting that one of them won’t get past Sunday.

Tina and Rhiannon had the highest scores in the previous episode with 48 and 46 points, respectively in
the show that saw Jesinta Campbell and Jarryd Bryne exit the competition.

Steve and Ash had 34 points while Zac and Jade had 31— both scores at the bottom of the leaderboard.

Others still competing on the dance floor are swimmer Libby Trickett (5.0), Cosentino (15.0).

As with all competitions, nothing is set in stone and even bookmakers can be wrong with their betting lines. In the end, there's the factor of fans’ votes so Steve and Zac can still pull-off the upset and remain dancing.
