First revealed at E3 earlier this year, “Battlecry” is Bethesda’s take on a team-based online multiplayer combat game. The game has been kept behind closed curtains recently, but new reports state that Bethesda is having problems with developing what could be a promising title.

In a statement issued to Australian gaming website Progress Bar, Bethesda reveals that it has a few concerns about the game. The developer was not too specific about the apparent concerns, but it does note that the project is currently below the quality standards of Bethesda.

“We have concerns about the Battlecry game and whether it is meeting the objectives we have for it. We are evaluating what improvements the game needs to meet our quality standards,” Bethesda said.

This may mean that the game is in the late stages of development but isn’t being well-received by those who’ve played it. There is a possibility that “Battlecry” might not even launch at all. Bethesda began its steps towards developing “Battlecry” with the creation of BattleCry Studios back in 2012.

If the game does make it to the market, it will face tough competition along the way. It’ll be pitted against other team-based shooters like “Overwatch,” “Battleborn” and “Team Fortress 2.” Like the stated titles, “Battlecry” features several classes, which could appeal to different players.

A beta version of the game was in the pipeline, but it’s still yet to be released or given a launch date. However, players can still sign up for it on the official “Battlecry” website.

Only a few have gotten their hands on the game. PC Gamer reports that the game is not as impressive as its competitors but it does show some promise. The most notable feature of the game was the agile movement of the characters.
