From “Halo 5: Guardians” to the recently released “Rise of the Tomb Raider,” 2015 has been a year of great games for the Xbox One. However, Microsoft is promising its fans that the incoming year will beef up the lineup of Xbox One games even more.

At Credit Suisse Technology Conference in Scottsdale, Arizona, Microsoft Marketing Executive Yusuf Mehdi stated in an official press statement that this is the best time to get an Xbox One. As the new titles have been driving the console to success, Mehdi assured fans that more games are sure to arrive in 2016.

The Xbox One may have went through a shaky start, but the tech giant Microsoft is now confident that the gaming console is doing really well. Since its launch, the Xbox One has received a lot of changes and additional features, proving once and for all that the company is listening to fan feedback.

Apart from improved social features, Xbox has also introduced the backward compatibility feature, giving Xbox One players access to more than 100 backward compatible games. Xbox One Elite Controller launched in October and demand for the pad has already surpassed company’s planning. Even the premium price is not scaring people away, which shows that it is certainly one of the more competent game controllers in the market.

But the Xbox One is not the only player in the market with strong lineup. The company will have to face strong competition from Sony, which has already equipped its arsenal with games like “Uncharted 4: A Thief's End,” “Horizon: Zero Dawn,” “Street Fighter V,” “No Man's Sky,” “Ratchet & Clank” and the most-awaited “The Last Guardian,” set to be launched on the PS4 in 2016.

Exclusive titles will no doubt be a huge pull for both consoles, but some of the entirely new games will need to meet the expectations of gamers to help the companies survive in the ruthless competition for 2016. The new year seriously does look like one of the most interesting lineups consoles have had in a while. Multi-platform games coming in 2016 include “The Division,” “Hitman,” “Dishonored 2,” “Final Fantasy XV,” “Deus Ex: Mankind Divided,” and “Dark Souls 3,” “Mirror's Edge: Catalyst,” Hitman, “Mass Effect Andromeda,” and EA’s new Battlefield title, all look great and different.
