Favourite Sports Illustrated supermodel Kate Upton may be tagged as Marilyn Monroe incarnate with her all-American girl looks and voluptuous body. However, Upton does not only want to be known as a supermodel for the rest of her life. In her debut in the feature film "The Other Woman," the 21-year old model is in the making to be a "serious actress," and she is working hard to be one.

The supermodel who also graced Vogue, GQ, and Esquire among other popular magazines recently rocked in the red carpet for the "The Other Woman" premiere. With co-stars Cameron Diaz and Leslie Mann in the Amsterdam premiere of the movie on April 1, Upton made a statement with her old Hollywood fashion. In London on April 2, she sported a black vintage dress with flared skirt that took her more of the spotlight for the film's UK premiere.

There is more of Kate Upton to be seen since the release of the film is starting yet. The beautiful blonde sure knows how to shine on the red carpet and this may only be the first of the numerous movie projects to come her way.

Upton is taking her acting career seriously. In an interview, Upton shares that she has been bitten by an acting bug and she took acting classes in two years to polish her skills. "Now I'm full in, I love it!'' she added.

Kate Upton is no neophyte in acting, she starred as the Mr. Hightower's Mistress in 2011's "Tower Heist" and Sister Bernice in 2012's "The Three Stooges," though the roles are simply cameos, it became the start of Upton's filmography. Her lead role in the upcoming "The Other Woman," may fire up expectations regarding Upton's acting-something that critics and fans may be watching out for.

At the age of 21, Kate Upton has nothing to prove. She is an accomplished equestrienne, covered various magazines, graced Sports Illustrated twice, and walked in the international runways for popular designers. Whether she will make it as an actress, she will surely remain as a sought-after supermodel.

"The Other Woman" is a romantic comedy film starring Cameron Diaz, Leslie Mann, and Kate Upton, directed by Nick Cassavetes. It is story of women entangled in lies of a three-timing husband played by Nikolaj Coster-Waldau. It will be released in the U.S. theatres in April 25, 2014.
