Miss Universe 2015 turned out to be a high-on-style event when contestants from 83 countries took to the stage at The AXIS in Las Vegas. All eyes were on Miss Universe 2015 winner Pia Alonzo Wurtzbach from the Philippines, runner-up Miss Colombia Ariadna Gutierrez Arevalo and Miss Australia Monika Radulovic for their “straight-from-the-heavens” look.

However, the event will also be remembered for the most epic fail of the year as host Steve Harvey initially announced Miss Colombia as the winner instead of Miss Philippines. Harvey later came back to the stage to take the responsibility for the mistake and announced Miss Philippines Pia Alonzo Wurtzbach as the winner, who was then rightfully crowned.

Earlier in the pageant, Miss France, Miss Philippines, Miss Colombia, Miss Australia and Miss USA made it to the top 5 and gave the audience and viewers a glimpse of their most stylish gowns as they walked on stage. Miss Colombia made heads turn during the evening gown category as she walked elegantly in her dress.

Meanwhile, Miss Australia Monika Radulovic outshone her competitors in a majestic gown with sparkling embellishments. However, Monika suffered an embarrassing moment when she had a minor slip while walking to the end of the stage. Just like a true beauty queen though, Radulovic kept her head high and gave a confident smile that won millions of hearts.

Miss USA, Olivia Jordan, also looked stunning in a white gown with a fairy-like cape. Miss Philippines, meanwhile, managed to stand out as she showed off her poise in an elegant fish-cut blue gown. Miss France Flora Coquerel also wowed everyone with her mesmerising red gown that had subtle embellishments.

The surprise entrant on the list is Miss Curacao 2015, Kanisha Sluis, who looked gorgeous in her embellished and feathered red gown.

Meanwhile, Miss Thailand bagged the award for the National Costume Competition.
