Hong Kong customs and marine police on Saturday foiled a smuggling case involving a speedboat carrying 138 iPhone 6, along with harddisks and RAMs, from Hong Kong to mainland China. Best Buy is hard at work to prove that it carries the best Black Friday gadget deals this 2014, especially for shoppers looking to snap up the iPhone 6, iPad Air 2 and the major Android flagships on November 28.

Juicy iPhone, iPad discounts

While Apple remains silent on its Black Friday deals involving the iPhone 6 and the iPad Air 2, Best Buy is jumping the gun on the tech giant with sale promos that are hard to resist.

In an ad listing that BGR said it sourced from BFAds, the 16GB iPhone 6 can go as low as $99 or even much lower as the 4.7-inch device can also be purchased using a Best Buy gift card. The package is also available for trade-in hunters, pointing to the likelihood that buyers can take home the handset without losing a cent.

It should be noted that the deals come with two-year service contracts and consumers can choose to subscribe to AT&T, Sprint or Verizon for their cellular and Internet access.

Apple's latest iPad line ups are also into the Black Friday game. The iPad Air 2, for instance, can be had for only $299. On top of the $100 price off for all storage configuration, Best Buy's sticker price for the iOS 8 tablet starts at $100 lower compared to Apple's standard mark.

That means the 16GB Air 2 that normally sells for $499 will be $199 less for shoppers that will opt to visit Best Buy on the last Friday of November 2014.

The iPad Mini 3, on the other hand, is ready for take home starting at $249 thanks to Best Buy's automatic discount on the device that buyers can pair with a $75 Black Friday price off. The offer is across the board.

Android flagship lures

The giant U.S. retailer is also covering gadget shoppers outside of the iOS sphere as major Android brands like Samsung and LG are into whole Black Friday craze.

Samsung's first 2014 flagship - the Galaxy S5 - will sit on Best Buy store shelves flashing a $1 tag price or minus $198 from its usual price mark with contract. Like the iPhone 6 above, Best Buy partners with AT&T, Sprint and Verizon for its Samsung gadget promos.

The second flagship from the South Korean tech this 2014 will be among the flood of choices too and those opting for the latest Samsung phablet will get to unwrap the kit without paying a dime. The Galaxy Note 4 is $0 down payment for select buyers plus it comes packed with a $50 gift card that can be used for Note 4 accessories.

As for the Samsung Galaxy Tab fans, available model and units are laced with $100 discount so the Galaxy Tab PRO 8.4 is quite inviting at only $99.

The LG G3, like its GS5 rival, is poised to become irresistible two Fridays from now with its $1 cash setback. Perhaps to sweeten the deal, the G3 is likely one of the first Android devices to get the Android 5.0 Lollipop update.

Best Buy, according to BGR, will draw first blood this 2014 Black Friday as it plans to start serving buyers 5PM on Thanksgiving Day. Most of the store's gadget deals are also available online.
