Benedict Cumberbatch attached to 'The Man In The Rockefeller Suit' cast

Benedict Cumberbatch will be donning a new suit as Christian Karl Gerhartsreiter in the upcoming “The Man in the Rockefeller Suit” movie. The film is an adaptation of the original novel written by Mark Seal.

The upcoming movie will explore the true story of Gerhartsreiter, a man who posed as a member of the Rockefeller family and ultimately faked his way in the ranks of Wall Street jobs and even a marriage. His success is short-lived, however, as his past later catches up to him, later placing his only daughter in jeopardy. According to Deadline, the film will be produced by Donald De Line with David Bar Katz adapting the script.

Cumberbatch was last seen on the silver screen in Marvel’s “Doctor Strange” as the titular character. He will be reprising his role in the Marvel Cinematic Universe with “Avengers: Infinity War” and will also make an appearance in “Thor: Ragnarok.” Moreover, the British actor gained widespread popularity following his portrayal as Sherlock Holmes in the television series “Sherlock,” which premiered in 2010. For his work in “Sherlock,” Cumberbatch received Primetime Emmy Award nominations and has won the Outstanding Lead Actor in a Miniseries or a Movie.

Besides “The Man in the Rockefeller Suit” movie, Cumberbatch is also slated to appear in “The Current War” as Thomas Edison. He will additionally lend his voice to the upcoming “How the Grinch Stole Christmas” for the titular character in 2018.
