After much anticipation, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, Prince William and Kate Middleton, has finally revealed the name of their Royal heir. Meet Prince George Alexander Louis, the Prince of Cambridge.

The world has stopped once again and shared the joy of the Royal couple, Prince William and Kate Middleton. After giving birth on July 22 at St. Mary’s Hospital in Paddington, West London, the Royal couple introduced the Royal heir for the world to see.

On July 24, Kensington Palace finally announced the name of the Royal heir. He was initially called Baby Cambridge. But the new born Royal baby will now be called, His Royal Highness Prince George of Cambridge.

How did the Royal couple name Prince George?

Baby George was named after Queen Elizabeth’s II father, George VI. The Queen’s father ruled the nation during World War II.

And the Queen had already met her new grandson. Prince William and Kate brought Baby George to the Kensington Palace on Wednesday, July 24, and reports said, the Queen spent time with the third king-in-waiting for 30 minutes.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge then went straight to the Middleton’s home in Bucklebury, Berkshire, around 10 pm BST after meeting the Queen on Wednesday.

While Prince Harry has already reported his newborn Royal nephew, Kate’s sister, Pippa Middleton, is said to be in line, waiting to see Baby George. It should be noted that Pippa has been enjoying propelling to stardom after her sister married a Royal.

The Duchess had earlier been reported staying at her mother’s house during the first few months after Baby George was born. The palace confirmed that the third king-in-waiting will not have his own nanny, and will be cared for by his mum and the trusted Royals.

“They have both got families that will care hugely for this baby,” the Palace officials said in a statement.

What’s next for Baby George?

Now that the search for nanny has been ruled out, the Palace is now set on identifying the Royal heir's official photographer.

To pay tribute to the Princess of Wales, Kate cut a look as Will’s mom, Princess Diana, when she and the Duke of Cambridge presented Baby George to the world yesterday. The Royal heir was born on Monday, July 22 at 4.24 pm BST.
