With 2014 just having rolled in, a number of "Harry Potter" fans are patiently waiting for news about the much-awaited film, "Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them." On the other hand, a former Hogwarts alumnus, Emma Watson, is busy with other things not Potter related. News has it that the film starring Emma, "Beauty & the Beast" is finally close to being made.

Watson was quite the show stealer at the Golden Globes 2014 red carpet when she showed up in a pants and dress combination. Of course, even if some fashion critics called it a blunder, Watson obviously owned the night.

"I was a little nervous about it. I'm wearing pants. I don't know if you can see that. I'm wearing trousers underneath my dress, but it felt really comfortable and was a bit different. I thought I'd just go with it," said Watson in an interview with MTV.

Aside from the red carpet events, school has been keeping Watson busy. The "Smartest Witch of her Age" is set to graduate from Brown University by May of this year. Contrary to early reports claiming Watson has chosen her film career over her studies, it is quite the opposite.

"I've been studying. I'm going to graduate in May, so I've been focusing all of my energy toward that. That's been it really," shared Watson.

Of course, studying hasn't been the only thing on Watson's mind. The former Gryffindor beauty has been keeping tabs on her love life as well. Despite her split from Will Adamowicz, she's now currently dating Oxford's Rugby player, Matthew Janney.

Having touched down on love and studies, Emma also talked about the highly-anticipated film, "Beauty and the Beast" to be directed by Guillermo Del Toro. The film was supposedly for release in 2012 but had been delayed following the latter's other film projects. However, it seems that 2014 means the film's production is likely to be pushed through.

"I hope so. Del Toro] always has so many things he's working on at once, so we're still putting it together. I hope so," stated Emma.

Of course, there's still the casting call for Emma's potential love interest, Beast, in the film.
