Paul McCartney and Nancy Shevell set to marry

Paul McCartney is expected to marry for the third time in a ceremony in London next month. McCartney and his partner of four years, Nancy Shevell, announced their official intent to marry on Sep. 14 and are expected to tie the knot sometime in October.

McCartney proposed to Shevell back in May, presenting her with a vintage Cartier diamond ring. The Westminster Register Office in London is the same venue that McCartney wed first wife Linda Eastman in 1969. The intimate ceremony is a stark contrast to the musician's last wedding. When the Beatle wed Heather Mills in 2002 it was a lavish ceremony and rumored cost upwards of a million pounds.

Nancy Shevell, 51, is a board member of the New York Metropolitan Transportation Authority and is a multi-millionaire. It will be the second time the American has been married after her 20-year marriage to attorney Bruce Blakeman.
