"Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice" premieres on March 25, 2016. Ahead of its release, another supposed plot detail has emerged. This time it pertains to the importance of General Zod's corpse and Aquaman's possible introduction in the sequel.

Plot details for "Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice" is said to take off from the events after Superman (Kal-el) sets off the Kryptonian beacon in "Man of Steel." According to Badass Digest, it's this act itself that reportedly triggers the presence of Aquaman in the sequel. Likewise, it will tell how important General Zod's corpse is for Lex Luthor.

"I understand that General Zod's corpse plays a big role in BvS - all of the DC Movieverse is going to spring from the events of Man of Steel," writer Devin Faraci said.

Faraci's claim points back to previous reports regarding Lex Luthor getting hold of the villain's corpse in "Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice." An extra working in the Detroit location of "BVS" supposedly told Geek Tyrant, that one particular scene in the sequel will explain how Luthor managed to retrieve General Zod's body. Batman supposedly discovers the corpse while raiding LexCorp for Kryptonite. This supposed plot hasn't been confirmed. However, Cinema Blend notes there's a possibility Lex could use Zod's corpse as a way into better understanding the Metropolis "alien" that is Superman.

Aquaman on the other hand reportedly harbors resentment towards Superman. Atlantis is damaged following the destruction of the World Engine in "Man of Steel." His supposed introduction in "Batman V Superman" involves taking vengeance over the damage Kal-el caused to the ocean. However, as previously mentioned by the International Business Times, few speculated Superman wouldn't have made it to "BVS" if not for Aquaman. Superman could have died in "Man of Steel" if not for Aquaman. After saving his shipmates from a fiery rig explosion, a weakened Clark Kent is seen floating in the ocean. Having the ability to talk to sea creatures, Aquaman (Jason Momoa) supposedly sent the two whales (video below) to rescue Clark and bring him safely to shore.

However, these are all interesting plot details to mull over before the movie's release. Aquaman's appearance in "Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice" hasn't been confirmed yet. Likewise, General Zod's involvement in the movie is still uncertain.
