The cast and crew of "Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice" has reportedly changed filming locations from Africa to New Mexico. Previous reports claim the Morocco location was supposedly set up for Aquaman's scenes. However, in the wake of the growing Ebola virus scare, it would seem that the aquatic superhero may be introduced at a different setting in New Mexico.

The movie was initially speculated to film in New Mexico early September when New Mexico's Film Office website posted a casting call for extras for a Warner Bros. movie. KOAT TV has confirmed that "Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice" will indeed be shooting in New Mexico. Sources claimed the southwestern part of N.M., near Deming, is already set up for the movie. Filming will reportedly take place in the Playas area.

Additionally, Batman-news reportedly saw some photos on Instagram posted by crew member John Dugan while on a flight out to the new location. The photos have unfortunately been deleted. But the site noted the captions attached to the images, which confirmed the New Mexico filming of "Batman V Superman." These captions include, "Next location here we go, flyin with pops! See ya Detroit..Hello New Mexico! #studiolife #local755 #detroit #atlanta #elpaso #newmexico #flyinghigh" and "New Mexican sunrise #studiolife #local755 #batmanvssuperman #newmexico #sunrise." Shooting has been slated for mid-November once production wraps up in Chicago, Illinois.

Aquaman was rumoured to make his introduction in "Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice" in the desert plains of Morocco in Africa. However, the Deming, New Mexico area would supposedly prove as a suitable replacement. According to Cinema Blend's Mike Reyes, movie director Zack Snyder has reportedly derived some concepts for Aquaman's debut in BVS" from the New 52 series of the original comicbook source. Reyes claims Snyder could be utilising "Lost" as basis for his appearance.

In "Lost," Aquaman finds himself in the desert (thus the New Mexico location) and has no memory of how he got there. Thanks to the "World Engine" theory, Atlantis is ruined. According to Reyes, this storyline in the comics will supposedly fit well as plotline for Aquaman in "Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice."
