Details have yet to be revealed regarding Aquaman's involvement in "Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice." While the sequel continues with post-production, actor Jason Momoa also offered some information about how he was cast for the aquatic superhero.

Jason Momoa was confirmed for the role of Aquaman in "Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice" back in October. But since then all fans have heard so far regarding plot points involving his character were based on pure speculations. However, during a recent Comic-Con Experience in São Paulo, Brazil, the actor opened up about his role and what he wants to see in terms of a stand-alone Aquaman film.

According to Comicbookmovie, Twitter user DCU Movie Page has all the details regarding the actor's panel at the convention. Jason Momoa reportedly evaded questions about his role as Aquaman. Instead, he expressed his excitement over having to fulfill a dream of portraying a superhero on screen. However, the actor did hint that Aquaman skeptics will be silenced with the reveal of the character. Likewise, Momoa claims the King of the Seven Seas will be a "bad-ass" superhero, otherwise he wouldn't have been cast for the role.

According to DCCU, the actor was already cast for the role before the official release of "Dawn of Justice" was announced. Jason Momoa was reportedly sworn to secrecy and so far he had kept the end of his bargain until he was officially announced as Aquaman.

Apparently, Jason Momoa will hold the role for a long time as well. The actor has reportedly signed on for four DC movies as Arthur Curry a.k.a. Aquaman. In terms of his 2018 stand-alone film, the actor reveals he would want Zack Snyder as director.

It's interesting to note that the movie director once defended the character on a local radio show. According to the International Business Times, Zack Snyder heard the hosts belittling Aquaman on air, so he decided to educate them on the character's powers. Snyder claimed Aquaman is "super strong" since "he can exist at these super deep depths." He also told the hosts that the superhero's trident can even cut through the flesh of Superman.

Speaking of Superman, Jason Momoa was reportedly also asked during the Comic-Con not just about Aquaman but also the fate of Kal-El. He was asked on whether who wins among Superman and Batman in "Dawn of Justice." The actor didn't really reveal any details but somehow hinted of a possibility of them being friends when he said, "Why they cannot be friends?[sic]"
