"Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice" is going to bring together the three major DC Comics superheroes. While Ben Affleck portrays Batman and Henry Cavill reprises his role as Superman, Gal Gadot brings to life the superheroine Wonder Woman. Ever since it was revealed that the warrior princess of the Amazons will be joining the cast in their next adventure, fans have been intrigued to know which comic book origin Gal Gadot's character will adapt.

According to Entertainment Weekly, "Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice" producer Charles Roven has revealed the details about Wonder Woman's origin at the Loyola Marymount University School of Film and Television. Roven reportedly said that the version of the superheroine in the upcoming DC film is a demigod, the daughter of a supreme Greek god Zeus. However, according to the entertainment site, it remains uncertain how much of the "Zeus backstory will factor into" Zack Snyder's movie. The site speculates that "Warner Bros. is looking at Wonder Woman as the Thor of their DC megafranchise, with a solo movie focusing on her mythological backstory."

Based on the revelation, Metro reports that it can be implied that the moviemakers are going to use Wonder Woman's "New 52" origin. The reboot version dumped the original origin story of Wonder Woman--made of clay by Queen Hippolyta--and saw her as the daughter of Hippolyta and Zeus in 2011 comic books. Rumours surrounding Gal Gadot's Wonder Woman started swirling when her look was revealed in an image released during SDCC in July 2014 by Zack Snyder via Twitter.

Meanwhile, the crew of "Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice" has finished filming in Detroit, and their next stop was supposedly Africa. However, in the wake of the massive outbreak of Ebola virus in the country, there might have been changes in the plan. According to Batman News, the cast and crew might be heading to Deming, New Mexico instead.

The publication picked up the news from Henry Cavill News and explored a bit more and found a post of a crew member, John Dugan, on Instagram captioned: "Next location here we go, flyin with pops! See ya Detroit.. Hello New Mexico! #studiolife #local755 #detroit #atlanta #elpaso #newmexico #flyinghigh." However, the post appears to have been deleted now.

Besides Ben Affleck, Gal Gadot and Henry Cavill, "Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice" stars Amy Adams as Lois Lane, Diane Lane as Martha Kent, Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor and more. The movie is scheduled for release on March 25, 2016.
