Doomsday will not be the final act in “Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice,” according to a production designer of the movie. Patrick Tatopoulos teased some details about the movie in a recent interview.

According to a report by Comic Book Movie, Tatopoulos has revealed that there will be a “larger threat” in the movie than Doomsday. He also said that the audience will be surprised by the “timeframe of how things fall into place.”

"Those feeling they may know too much this early, are going to be in for a true surprise," the production designer teased. Tatopoulos, however, did not reveal what the surprise will be in the movie and said that people will have to wait for the movie to release to find out.

Elaborating a little about Doomsday, the production designer said that “Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice” has handled the character in a “fresh way.” Tatopoulos pointed out that comic book fans will be aware of the story where Doomsday kills Superman, but the movie has a “new way” to handle this story.

“Superman isn't just killed off at the end of something,” the production designer said. He also explained that Doomsday is a part of Lex Luthor’s (Jesse Eisenberg) plan to protect the world. “Seeing the Superman we know, be gone, and then replaced with this reproduction is really going to make fans think of how we look at these super beings,” he said.

He also revealed that Lex was trying to create Superman (Henry Cavill) with his experiments on General Zod’s (Michael Shannon) dead body. Tatopoulos also revealed that Doomsday will slowly evolve into the monster we see in the trailer.

“Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice” is slated to be released on March 25, 2016 in the US. Some of the cast members of the movie include Gal Gadot (Wonder Woman), Jason Momoa (Aquaman), Ben Affleck (Bruce Wayne) and Amy Adams (Lois Lane).
