n the comics Kal-El becomes weak when exposed to kryptonite. Apparently, that’s what Batman has planned to do in order to defeat Superman. According to a report, one of Batman’s weapon in “Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice” is made of the same element.

Heroic Hollywood revealed a possible spoiler for “Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice” especially about Batman’s weapon against Superman. The caped crusader reportedly has a weapon called the kryptonite laced spear, which is especially made to defeat Kal-El. The site didn’t provide any more details but provided a photo to show how this weapon could look like.

In the photo taken from the trailer released for the film, Batman is holding some kind of weapon. Fans have supposedly thought it to be a rifle. It reportedly shows a resemblance to the weapon seen in Frank Miller’s “The Dark Knight Returns” as seen in this photo. However, according to the site the photo from the “Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice” trailer actually gave fans a glimpse of the kryptonite laced spear.

Despite the photo, no details were provided on how Batman plans to use the weapon against Superman. How the caped crusader was able to acquire the kryptonite in the first place also remains a mystery. However, source who claimed to have been an extra in “Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice” previously revealed an interesting rumour about Batman’s search for kryptonite. The source told Geek Tyrant that a scene in the film would show the caped crusader breaking into Lexcorp’s laboratory to steal kryptonite. It’s supposedly also in the laboratory where Batman saw General Zod’s dead body from “Man of Steel” is stored. Lex Luthor is believed to be holding unto the corpse to study it so he could further understand Superman.

According to Comic Book Movie, perhaps Batman uses the kryptonite laced spear in an attempt to defeat Superman. The culminating fight would supposedly eventually involve him wearing his formidable-looking armour to battle Kal-El. “We know Bats will eventually suit-up in that very formidable looking Dark Knight Returns-inspired armor, so perhaps the spear is just a precursor to that and one of his first attempts to bring down the Man of Steel?” writer Mark Cassidy said.
