Bastian Schweinsteiger has gone out of his way just to be present on Ana Ivanovic's 27th birthday. A new report says that the German footballer who plays as a midfielder for Bayern Munich has flown to Belgrade just to be with the tennis star on her special day.

According to Belgrade tabloid Kurir, Schweinsteiger didn't want to be in the spotlight and tried to get away from the paparazzi. He arrived in Belgrade on the evening of Nov. 6, which is Ivanovic's birthday.

Schweinsteiger entered the VIP terminal of the Belgrade airport at 7:15 pm via a private plane. He was reportedly with his manager and a couple of his friends. Schweinsteiger had the same security team that kept paparazzi away from him when he visited Ivanovic on Oct. 10.

Schweinsteiger's security manned the premises and when they found out that there were some journalists in the area, they were quick to cover Schweinsteiger with a jacket to prevent them from taking pictures. They then escorted the Bayern star to a car that was already waiting for them. They headed toward Ivanovic's apartment in New Belgrade.

Ivanovic's brother Milos also showed up to join the celebration. Schweinsteiger, Ivanovic, and the rest of the group had a feast in a restaurant situated in the same building. They sat around in one table. Although Schweinsteiger and Ivanovic tried so hard to hide from the paparazzi, the Belgrade tabloid obtained exclusive snaps of the tennis star's birthday celebration. "Ana and Bastian enjoyed their love," Kurir wrote. "Not knowing our team followed closely."

The on-again-off-again relationship between Ivanovic and Schweinsteiger started in September. The couple was spotted holding hands while strolling in New York City. There had been reports claiming that the Germany's World Cup star has moved on from his brief romance with Ivanovic and reconciled with model Sarah Brandner, whom he had been in a relationship with for seven years, from 2007 to 2014.

However, Schweinsteiger and Ivanovic had been seen quite a few times together. In October, the pair went on a secret date in Belgrade, as reported by 101greatgoals.com.
