Kaitlyn Bristowe, 29, gave her first interview on “Good Morning America” with her fiancé Shawn Booth, 28, on July 28, Tuesday. The two got engaged on July 27, Monday on “The Bachelorette” season 11 finale, which ended with Bristowe wearing a Neil Lane engagement ring .

In their interview with “Good Morning America” host Lara Spencer, Bristowe and Booth talked about their future plans and most emotional moments on ABC’s “The Bachelor” spin-off. The season was the first one to feature two bachelorettes, Bristowe and Britt Nilsson, 27.

According to Bristowe, she had had a good feeling about Booth since “The Bachelorette” season 11 started. Having chosen Booth over finalist Nick Viall, 34, she said, “I think they try and confuse you, but the whole time I just kept being like, ‘Nope, (I’m) still thinking about Shawn.”

After getting rejected by Bristowe, Viall threw the engagement ring meant for her across a car. When asked by Spencer about her reaction after watching the incident in the finale episode, Bristowe said she was not surprised.

Bristowe laughed about Viall’s reaction and said she thought it was “kind of funny” and “a weak toss.” Booth also joked that he would have done overhand. When asked about who should star in the “Bachelor” season, the newly engaged couple agreed it should be Ben Higgins, 26, and not Viall.

Booth and Bristowe are yet to have official wedding plans. The two told Spencer that before they start making future plans, they plan to meet their families and look for potential new hometowns. According to Bristowe, they are very excited to be engaged and “be cute” and being out and public “makes little things more exciting.”

After their engagement on “The Bachelorette” season 11 finale, Booth and Bristowe went to New York City for several interviews and photo ops. The two took the opportunity to revisit The Knick restaurant at The Knickerbocker Hotel, where they filmed the ABC series previously, according to Us Weekly.
