The eighth episode of "The Bachelorette Season 12" has left the viewers in suspense. The episode ended with a "To be continued" when 31-year-old war veteran Luke Pell refused to be eliminated.

The episode began with Jojo visiting each of the final four contestant's hometown and family. The last family she visited was Luke's, who live in Burnet, Texas. The war veteran invited 50 of his friends and introduced all of them to "The Bachelorette" leading lady.

"I want the future, I want this future – I want us," Luke confessed. The two then shared a romantic kiss by the sunset. When Jojo started to cry, the war veteran asked her if that "was a happy cry." Jojo assured him that it was.

"I just wish I had more time with you, you know? Thinking about having to leave, it makes me sad," she told Luke. "Like, we have these random moments that are so powerful and, I don't know, it's just overwhelming."

The rose ceremony was held at an airplane hangar. Jojo was dressed in a sparkling royal blue gown and arrived in a limousine. The four men braced themselves for her decision.

"I think I need to say goodbye to Luke," the 25-year-old reality star began. The Texas-born veteran then approached her and asked if he could talk to her privately before she handed out the roses. Luke professed his love for Jojo, hoping that it would change her mind.

"This is the hardest part of this whole thing. In my entire life, I've never met one guy, let alone four, that have made me feel this good and this happy," Jojo told the finalists. "I feel like out of control right now," she said before she broke down.

The episode ended with a cliffhanger and fans were left to speculate among themselves. The next episode will be aired on 9Life on July 26.
