Chris Soules and Whitney Bischoff are no longer a couple. The reality show couple met on Season 19 of “The Bachelor” and got engaged in the season finale. “The Bachelor” creator Mike Fleiss took to Twitter on Thursday to break the news that Season 19 couple have decided to end their engagement. Now, Soules, 33, and Bischoff, 29, have taken to social media platforms to post their reactions after the split.

Both Soules and Bischoff have thanked their fans for their continued support. Soules, who is a farmer by profession, posted on his Twitter feed: “I can't thank you all enough for the kind messages over the past few days. This has been really tough and your support means a lot to me.”

Chicago based fertility nurse Bischoff posted a Instagram video clip featuring a young girl welcoming her back home, with the caption: “Now this little gal knows how to make me smile! From the bottom of my heart, thank you for your outpouring love, kindness and support! It means so much to me!"

Soon after Fleiss announcement that they have broken up, Bischoff and Soules released a combined statement, confirming the break up. They also said that they will continue to remain “supportive friends” and that they part with “respect” and “admiration” for one other. Also they thanked everyone who supported them in their journey.

It is not clear why the two decided to end their relationship. ET has reported that the two have split just two weeks after they spent time together at Soules’ farm in Arlington, Iowa. After the farm visit, Bischoff was seen with her girl buddies from “The Bachelor,” Becca Tilley and Kaitlyn Bristowe, and according to ET, this triggered rumours that things did not go well at the farm.

Meanwhile, Chris Harrison, the long-time host of “The Bachelor and “The Bachelorette,” has said, according to ET, in his interview with Mark Steines and Cristina Ferrare of “Home & Family” that the break up is sad, as the two were “hopefully” going to get married and now they have decided not to.
