Things have been pretty controversial for rapper Azealia Banks on social media recently, particularly after she called the Australian audience "terrible" to play for. On Friday, the New York-raised singer posted a series of rants on Twitter, criticising the Australian blogging community for their comments on her performance at Byron Bay's Splendour in the Grass festival on July 25.

"Wow these Australian blogger b----- are riding my d--- from all the way down under. It’s almost like having my d--- sucked from the back," Banks tweeted.

"And they are dragging it out for what? I ALREADY HAVE YOUR MONEY!" she added in another tweet. Several other tweets with obscene words followed.

Sydney Morning Herald reports that the outburst came after she was thrown a beer can while performing on stage. On the microblogging site, she said she was sick of "Australian blogger b------" and "hipster d------." She added that she just wants to get her money, go home and cook some fried chicken.

The situation went from bad to worse for Banks after Paul “Browny” Brown, a local radio presenter, called on his Twitter followers to congratulate her for finishing her set, writes Noise11 . Brown took a swipe at the 24-year-old for a so-so performance at the Splendour in the Grass festival back in 2012, when she reportedly sang for just 25 minutes, blaming technical problems.

Meanwhile, in other news, Banks' scheduled joint U.S. tour with singer-rapper K. Michelle has been "cancelled" owing to the latter being "unavailable." No further details have been supplied. Banks and K. Michelle’s tour was supposed to kick off in Sept. 15 and end on Oct. 15.

Billboard reports that Banks, once again, used Twitter to make the announcement, saying that K. Michelle’s team sent her team an email about the "Fakin' It" singer not being able to perform with her in the fall. Not to be tied down, she immediately told her followers that it doesn't mean the tour will be cancelled altogether, and that her team will be coming up with an alternative list of dates and venues soon. This is supposed to be Bank's first U.S. tour.
