So Avril Lavigne and Chad Kroeger do not seem to be happy with each other anymore. "It's over," according to Daily Mail. "He has been going around L.A. and telling people that they're divorcing."

But while they had not talked about it openly earlier, it did seem obvious that even last August 30, when the 29-year-old had removed her wedding ring when she left the Chateau Marmont with her friends. After going into ecstasies over the 17-carat diamond ring that she had worn for her anniversary last July, Avril suddenly removed it, along with the tweet that she had put around her husband: "Wow. I love my hubby!" Oddly, their Twitter and Instagrams do not feature each other anymore.

They share a fortune of $105 million, but no other positive feeling towards each other. Avril's friend said that Chad is just a complete "jerk" due to his attitude towards his "wife" as well as anyone in general. She confirmed that "A lot of her friends don't like him." Another friend explained that there is no real or definite timeline for any divorce currently.

Both the lovebirds from Canada got engaged a month after they recorded the eight-time Grammy nominee's duet: "Let Me Go". And after 11 months, they converted it into a wedding with a guest list 110 persons long at the Château de la Napoule on the French Riviera.

Last November, the Hello Kitty singer had exclaimed that they cannot last "more than two weeks without seeing each other." They don't even drink when they are apart, Chad had said. He clarified that they don't want to visit places that would get them into any trouble. "This is something we want to cherish and protect."

Avril seems to be running into trouble with her marriage after two years. In 2012, the blonde stunner had called it quits with the reality star Brody Jenner. She was linked with Wilder Valderrama. Earlier, she had divorced Sum 41 frontman Deryck Whibley in 2010, after a marriage that lasted for four years.

Currently, neither of them are attending any concert dates. Their band was nominated for the Grammy awards six times, but they do not have anything lined up now.

Next week, Avril celebrates her 30th birthday. She has asked her 16.8 million Twitter followers to donate to the Special Olympics.
