Marvel has released a deleted scene from “Avengers: Age of Ultron” that shows Thor talking about the Infinity Stones. The stones will play a major role in the eventual showdown between the heroes and the super villain Thanos. [Spoiler alert]

The video of the deleted scene has been posted on the official YouTube channel of Marvel Entertainment. Thor (Chris Hemsworth) had entered the mysterious pond in the Norn cave in the movie, where he got glimpses of the events from the future. The deleted scene shows that the character was also possessed in this scene and was able to get some of the answers he was seeking.

A possessed Thor talks about the Infinity Stone in Loki’s (Tom Hiddleston) sceptre being one of six. The stones apparently “cannot be joined, nor kept apart.” The stone that Loki had was the Mind Stone, which grants the wielder the ability to change the perception of other people.

The main aim of getting into the pond was to find a way to defeat the villain in “Avengers: Age of Ultron.” However, Thor learns in the deleted scene that their enemies are “closer.” The Mind Stone was later used to help give life to Tony Stark’s (Robert Downey Jr.) computer program Jarvis, who later became The Vision (Paul Bettany).

The Infinity Stone gave Vision enormous powers and with his help the heroes were eventually able to defeat the villain in the movie. A previous video released by Marvel shows a clip from the movie in which The Vision is trying to convince the other heroes that they can only defeat the villain if they join forces.

The Vision accepted in the scene that he may be a “monster” and understood the reluctance of the heroes when it comes to trusting him. What evidently convinced everyone in the scene was that Vision was able to lift Thor’s hammer, something that no other hero except Thor was able to do.

The Infinity Stones will play a major role in the 2018 movie “Avengers: Infinity War – Part 1,” which will be directed by Anthony and Joe Russo. The villain Thanos has been seeking the stones for his Infinity Gauntlet and once he has all six stones; it is expected to make him the most powerful being in the universe.
