Fearing more leaks could hit the box office performance of "Avengers: Age of Ultron," the producers of the film have reportedly subpoenaed Google for a file uploaded on the Google Drive. The exact nature of the file's contents is not known.

According to a report by HollywoodReporter, a person using the name "John Gazelle" has uploaded a file on Google Drive. Marvel has reportedly requested Google to remove the file under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act.

Although the details regarding the leak are not available, the report points to the recent leaks of the trailer of the movie and a scene involving the actors Chris Evans and Robert Downey Jr. The actors play the roles of Steve Rogers and Tony Stark, respectively, in the upcoming movie.

Marvel is reportedly trying to find the person responsible for the leak through the IP address used while accessing the YouTube and Google+ accounts of the person involved. Both websites are owned and operated by the company Google Inc.

The subpoena against Google was filed by Matthew Slatoff, executive director at Marvel for global security and content protection. The petition was filed in a U.S district court in California. The petition contains a copy of the request to take down the "audiovisual works" from "Avengers: Age of Ultron" from the relevant Google Drive account.

The petition seeks to identify the person responsible for the leak and requests the court to obligate Google to share the information regarding the owner of the account in question. Identifying the person who leaked the information may become easier with Google's cooperation.

Marvel has good reason to be concerned about leaks from a big budget movie like "Avengers: Age of Ultron." Previously, the action movie "The Expendables 3," starring Sylvester Stallone, reportedly leaked online even before the movie was released. The leak may have resulted in huge losses for the movie and showed in its lacklustre performance at the box office.

Marvel was forced to release the official trailer of "Avengers: Age of Ultron" after the trailer leaked online recently. The producers may be worried about more leaks that may hamper the movie's prospects at the box office. The movie is slated to be released in May 2015.
